Description

Ultrasonic level meter is a digital level meter whose signal is processed by a high-performance microprocessor. In the measurement, ultrasonic pulses are sent by a sensor (transducer), and the sound wave is received by the same sensor after being reflected by the surface of the object. The time between ultrasonic transmission and reception is calculated to calculate the distance from the sensor to the measured object. Due to the non-contact measurement, the measured medium is almost unlimited, and it can be widely used for the height measurement of various liquid and solid materials.

working principle:

Under the control of the electronic unit, the probe emits a beam of ultrasonic pulses to the measured object. The sound waves are reflected by the surface of the object, and part of the reflected echoes are received by the probe and converted into electrical signals. The time from ultrasonic transmission to being re-received is proportional to the distance from the probe to the object to be measured. The electronic unit detects this time and calculates the measured distance based on the known speed of sound. The level value can be obtained by subtraction. Since temperature has an effect on the speed of sound, the meter should measure the temperature to correct for the speed of sound.

Ultrasonic level gauge container installation conditions:


●Airtight container


For the range below 8m, there must be a flange port above DN65 on the container;


For the range of 10m and 12m, there must be a flange port above DN80 on the container, and the length of the connecting pipe under the flange is less than 15cm.


For the range of 15m, there must be a flange port above DN150 on the container, and the length of the connecting pipe under the flange is less than 15cm.


For ranges of 20m, 30m and 40m, the container must have a flange port of DN200 or higher, and the length of the connecting pipe under the flange is less than 20cm.


●Open container


For the range below 8m, the container must have an installation port with a diameter of 65mm or more;


For the range of 10m and 12m, there should be an installation port with a diameter of more than 80mm on the container, and the thickness of the installation port should be less than 15cm.


For the 15m range, the container must have an installation port with a diameter of 150mm or more, and the thickness of the installation port should be less than 15cm.


For the range of 20m, 30m and 40m, there should be an installation port with a diameter of more than 200mm on the container, and the thickness of the installation port should be less than 20cm.


●Open pool


A mounting bracket is required. Outdoor application in cold area: Open pool: It should be installed at height to prevent the ultrasonic probe from frosting and freezing.


Container: If the flange is installed outdoors, measures should be taken to keep warm; if it is not possible to keep warm, an ultrasonic level meter with an extended probe should be ordered, so that the probe can be inserted into the container.
